Travontez Dean (also known as Tez) is the proud owner of Best Man Lawn Care. Growing up on the south side of St. Pete Florida, Tez was raised by his mother and two sisters without a father figure. His mother took on the role of teaching him important life skills like taking out the trash and mowing the lawn.

Best Man Lawn Care was a childhood dream!
The first time his mother showed him how to cut their yard, Travontez was about 10 years old. Out of all the tasks she taught him, he found himself drawn to the lawnmower. From that moment, he knew he wanted to own his own lawn service one day.

Building strong customer relationships has also been an important part of Travontez’s journey. As a child, he struggled with communication, but he overcame this challenge by walking his neighborhood, pushing an old lawnmower he’d assembled, and knocking on doors to offer his services. He laughs now at how small he was compared to that oversized mower, but his determination made it work no matter what. Looking back, it’s clear that he was a young entrepreneur in the making.
Today, Travontez takes pride in providing top-notch service and ensuring customer satisfaction. He strives to be the “best man” for the job — a commitment that inspired the name of his business, Best Man Lawn Care.
